Getting started

Your first screen, step by step.

From signing up to your own content playing on a real screen โ€” about 15 minutes. You'll need a computer or phone for the dashboard, and the screen device itself (an Android box/TV, a Smart TV with a browser, or just a PC).

1 Create your account

  1. Open app.maiscreen.com/signup and fill in your name, email, password and business name.
  2. You'll receive an email โ€” click Confirm email. (Nothing there? Check spam.)
  3. Sign in at app.maiscreen.com. That's your dashboard.
Your trial

30 days with up to 5 screens and every feature, no card. Afterwards, your first screen stays free forever โ€” and no screen goes dark: the rest keep showing what they had and accept no new content until they are licensed.

2 See it play โ€” in 2 minutes, no screen needed

On the dashboard home you'll find the "Get started in three steps" card. Click "Demo screen in a new tab": a player opens in your browser, already connected as one of your screens. Great for learning the flow before the real install โ€” delete it afterwards from Screens.

3 Upload your first content

  1. Menu Content โ†’ Upload โ€” an image, video, PDF, even PowerPoint/Excel (they convert to pages automatically).
  2. Wait for ready (a few seconds โ€” it's also malware-scanned).
Phone-shot video?

If you see a "TV compatibility" warning, click "Fix for TVs" โ€” one click, no re-encoding. Otherwise some Smart TVs show a black screen.

4 Set up the player on the device

Path A โ€” Android app (recommended for permanent installs)

For Android TVs, boxes or sticks. Starts by itself with the power, updates itself, never gets "lost".

  1. In the dashboard: Fleet โ†’ โฌ‡ Download APK. Save the file to a USB stick (or download it directly in the device's browser).
  2. Plug the USB into the device and open the .apk from its file manager (e.g. "Files", "File Manager").
  3. When asked about unknown sources, allow installs for this app (Settings โ†’ Security โ†’ Unknown sources, if it doesn't appear automatically).
  4. Tap Install โ†’ Open. The app already knows the server โ€” nothing to configure.
or

Path B โ€” Browser (Smart TV, PC, anything with a browser)

  1. Open the device's browser and type: api.maiscreen.com/player
  2. Once it loads, press OK/click once on the page for fullscreen.
  3. In the TV settings, turn off Screen Saver / Energy Saving / Auto Power Off.
Browser limitation

After a power cut or closing, someone must reopen the browser (set the address as the homepage so it's one click). For a window display that runs itself, prefer Path A โ€” a ~โ‚ฌ25 Android stick is enough.

5 Pair the screen with your account

On both paths, the screen now shows a pairing code (e.g. KM4T-P2WX) and a QR.

The code lasts 15 minutes โ€” if it expires, the screen shows a fresh one by itself. Asked for a store and don't have one? Create it under Stores.

6 Put the content on it

  1. Content โ†’ open the file you uploaded.
  2. Click โ–ถ Show on screen and pick your screen.
  3. Seconds later, it plays. โœ…

For more than a single file: Layouts has ready-made industry templates โ€” import one, change the texts, publish.

Portrait screen?

If the panel hangs vertically, set it in the dashboard: Screens โ†’ your screen โ†’ Orientation: Portrait. The player rotates the content itself โ€” even on devices that don't know they've been turned.

That's it. From here on, whatever you publish reaches the screen on its own โ€” and if the internet drops, it keeps playing.
